Why Baby Massage?
Why should we consider learning baby massage?
Baby massage fosters mutual trust, understanding & develops your confidence with your baby. Your baby's immune system, circulation and digestion are stimulated, whilst it helps relieve fractiousness, anxiety, colic & constipation. It helps baby sleep longer & sounder. It is the perfect preparation for co-ordinated movement & mobility, setting your baby on their feet with 'perfect posture' both sitting & standing, with strength & flexibility in all the right places. Baby massage is a natural response to your baby's inherent need for tactile stimulation.
Mummies and Daddies have found the massage fab for developing their confidence with their baby. Here are some testimonials that parents have very kindly sent in and with permission we are allowed to use:
"Luke loves his massages and is very relaxed after, he has extended his 1st nights sleep to 5 hours.
I was very satisfied with the relevance of the course and the knowledge and professionalism. The communication prior to the start of the course I was very satisfied with, and I thought the overall value of the training compared to the price paid was excellent. I would receommend MG Health's Baby Massage course to friends and colleagues".

"Using massage with Matthieu has really helped us, he experienced a bout of colic at the beginning and the massage combined with heating his feeds slowly sorted this. He is very relaxed, loves being massaged and slept from 5 weeks onward all through the night. Contented, yes and very happy. He is also very strong and the baby massage focuses on developing strength, stamina and flexibility ready for a baby to face the challenges of rolling, crawling, & toddling"
Update: "Matthieu started to walk at 8 months and is now confidentenly running at 17 months."

"I enjoyed our one to one baby massage course because I was relaxed in my own home and the sessions fitted in very nicely with our routine so Matthew wasn't too tired. The hand out is great as a prompter and we finished the course feeling happy about the baby massage and Matthew is loving it."

Baby Massage practitioners may offer one to one courses or group courses. This may be organised from a central base or in your own home. There may be a group of mums that have had their antenatal classes together and would like to continue meeting in the postanatal period and engage the services of a Baby Massage practitioner to facilitate this. Ask your Practitioner if they offer any of these options.
